En10ergy Seeks Haringey Community Buildings for Solar PV and LED Lighting Projects

May 14, 2024 By nadia 1 Comment

Are you involved with a community building in Haringey and interested in reducing your carbon footprint while saving on energy bills? We are now seeking community buildings for new solar PV and LED lighting retrofit projects. This is an excellent opportunity for schools, leisure centres, community centres, places of worship, and local businesses to upgrade their facilities with sustainable energy solutions.

How It Works

Here’s how our community energy projects operate:

  • No Upfront Cost: There is no initial expense for the host site. We raise the necessary funds for the project through community investors who are keen to support local sustainability initiatives.
  • Reduced (and Fixed) Electricity Rates: The host site buys electricity/lighting from us at a reduced rate, which is fixed for up to 20 years in the case of solar installations and 10 years for LED lighting upgrades. This arrangement guarantees significant savings on energy bills every year.
  • Net Savings: With reduced energy costs, the host site will consistently save money on their electricity bills, benefiting from lower rates over the long term.
  • Community Investment: The funds for these projects come from community investors, creating a local investment loop that supports the community’s sustainability goals. These investors also learn about and engage with the community building involved in the project.

Why Participate?

Participating in this initiative offers several benefits:

  • Lower Energy Costs: By installing solar PV systems and efficient LED lighting, buildings can significantly reduce their electricity bills.
  • Environmental Impact: Contribute to the fight against climate change by reducing carbon emissions.
  • Community Engagement: Work with a local group dedicated to sustainability and community development.

  • Old or Dim Incandescent/Fluorescent Tube Lighting: Suitable for LED lighting upgrades.
  • High Electricity Bills: Facilities with high energy costs will benefit most from these upgrades.
  • Interest in Sustainability: A commitment to reducing carbon emissions and energy expenses.
  • Willingness to Collaborate: An openness to working with En10ergy on this community-driven project.
